Laura Franceschini

Architect

Laura Franceschini graduated in Architecture from Roma Tre University in 2009, with a specialization in architectural design and a thesis focused on urban regeneration.

In 2005, she spent a year studying in Spain, and upon returning to Italy, she began working at Westway Architects, where she completed her training by focusing primarily on interior renovation projects and the visual identity of the firm.

In 2010, she founded a company dedicated to managing coworking spaces, envisioned as small incubators for startups and young professionals.

Within these spaces, she developed collaborative research projects with professionals from various disciplines, exploring themes such as housing well-being, the sharing economy, and city branding.

This led to her participation in a European call for proposals for the development of a “Natural Shopping Center” in the city of Terni, where she managed numerous urban redevelopment and development projects.

Her collaboration with Westway Architects deepened, and in 2015, she became a partner of the firm.

Thanks to the studio’s wide-ranging activity — from small to large scale, with projects throughout Italy and abroad — she has grown professionally, handling all aspects of design and implementation.

Today, Westway Architects is recognized as a leading practice in the new generation of Italian designers, with complex projects such as the new food area concept for Bloomingdale’s in New York, the headquarters for Italiana Costruzioni in Rome, the Castel headquarters in Ethiopia, and numerous residential developments.
